FindRFP pricing and FindRFP cost per month and per year

FindRFP costs 19.95 USD a month on its Regional plan, which covers up to four states, and 29.95 USD a month on its National plan, which covers every US state and the Canadian provinces. Paid annually, the same plans cost 199.50 USD and 299.50 USD a year, which is 12 months for the price of 10. Trade associations that open more than five accounts get a quoted group price.

That makes FindRFP one of the cheapest paid bid notification services in the US. The real question is not whether you can afford it, but whether a keyword alert across thousands of public buyers is the kind of help your company needs.

What a FindRFP subscription includes

FindRFP has been running since 1995, and the product has stayed simple. You set keywords, the states or provinces you serve and an industry, and the service searches its list of government procurement sites every day.

  • Federal, state and local coverage. The source list spans federal, state, county, city and municipal buyers plus universities, school districts, hospitals and airports, across the US and Canada. You can also submit a procurement site URL the database is missing.
  • Daily email notification. One email a day, sent only when something matches your keywords and regions. No match, no email.
  • Searchable database. Unlimited access to the active bids in the database, filtered by state and by dozens of industry categories, from janitorial and snow removal to IT, printing and medical staffing.
  • Human review. FindRFP says trained editors check results for relevance on top of its automated search.

What it does not include matters just as much. There is no fit score, no check of whether a set-aside excludes you, no award history to see who won last time and no bid workspace. Matching is by keyword and region, so the quality of your list depends on the keywords you write.

How the FindRFP free trial and billing work

The free trial gives full access for one week. It starts when you register and hand over a credit card (or send a check), and the card is charged automatically at the end of the week unless you cancel during the trial. Set a reminder on day five.

After that the subscription renews on its own. You cancel online under My Account, Account Profile, Cancel Subscription. FindRFP's FAQ is direct about refunds: if you cancel in the middle of a paid period, you do not get a partial refund. On the annual plans that means deciding before the renewal date, not after.

Is FindRFP legit?

Yes. FindRFP is a long running US bid notification service that publishes its prices, offers online cancellation and has operated since 1995 by its own account. It is a legitimate keyword alert service, not a scam. The caveats are ordinary ones: the trial bills your card automatically, there are no partial refunds and matching quality depends on your keywords.

The number to keep in perspective is volume. FindRFP says 2,000 to 5,000 new government opportunities appear across all categories on an average day. A keyword alert across that many buyers is cheap to run and easy to flood, so plan to spend time tuning keywords in the first two weeks.

FindRFP compared with other bid services

Service What it does best Published or reported price
FindRFP Cheap keyword alerts across US and Canadian public buyers 19.95 to 29.95 USD a month, 199.50 to 299.50 USD a year
BidNet Direct State and local bids by region with document access From about 599 USD a year for one state, see BidNet Direct pricing
BidPrime Daily state, local and federal bid alerts Quoted, reported at 1,500 to 3,000 USD a year for regional plans, see BidPrime cost
HigherGov Federal and SLED research database with API From 500 USD a year for one user, see HigherGov pricing
FederalContracts Federal notices scored out of 100 against your company, with the reason and the deadline 129 USD a month or 768 USD a year on Bid Desk

Where FindRFP wins: price and breadth. For under 300 USD a year it watches city, county, school and state buyers in every state, and we do not cover state and local bids outside New York City at all. If you sell to municipalities and school districts, FindRFP or a regional aggregator is the better first purchase. A cleaning company chasing local work can go further and price commercial cleaning contracts in its own area before it bids.

Where it falls short is federal work. A federal notice is usually titled by a project number or a product code, the set-aside decides whether you can bid at all, and the wage determination and the incumbent decide whether you should. A keyword alert sends you the notice. It does not tell you which three of the forty are worth a bid.

What FederalContracts costs instead

FederalContracts does one narrow job for companies that bid federal work: it reads every new SAM.gov solicitation in full the morning after it posts, scores it out of 100 against your trades, NAICS codes, set-asides and states, and sends the best fits first with the reason for each score.

  • Bid Desk, 129 USD a month or 768 USD a year. Federal solicitations, 1 company profile, 3 seats, 5 saved searches, a daily ranked digest, deadline reminders and 3 years of competitor award history.
  • Capture, 349 USD a month or 2,088 USD a year. Federal solicitations plus New York City bids from the City Record, 5 business lines, 15 seats and full award history with exports.

Bid Desk costs more than FindRFP, and it should if federal bids are where your revenue is: you pay for the ranking and the set-aside check, not for the alert. Plenty of contractors run both, FindRFP for local buyers and a ranked federal list for SAM.gov. Government contract alerts explains how the federal digest is built, and every plan feature is on pricing.

How much is FindRFP per month?

FindRFP is 19.95 USD per month for the Regional plan, which covers up to four states, and 29.95 USD per month for the National plan, which covers all US states and Canada. Both include the full database, daily email notifications and support. Annual billing works out to about 16.63 and 24.96 USD a month.

Does FindRFP have a free trial?

Yes. FindRFP offers a one week free trial with full access to the service. It needs a credit card or a check to activate, and the card is charged automatically when the week ends unless you cancel during the trial. Cancellation is online under My Account.

Can I cancel FindRFP anytime?

You can cancel FindRFP anytime online under My Account, Account Profile, Cancel Subscription. FindRFP does not give partial refunds when you cancel in the middle of a paid period, so on the annual plans the cancellation only stops the next renewal. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid another charge.

Does FindRFP include federal contracts?

Yes. FindRFP's source list includes federal procurement sites alongside state, county, city, school, university, hospital and airport buyers in the US and Canada. Federal notices are matched the same way as local ones, by your keywords, regions and industry, without a check of set-aside eligibility or a ranking by fit.

What are the alternatives to FindRFP?

The main alternatives to FindRFP are BidNet Direct and BidPrime for state and local bid alerts, HigherGov and GovTribe for research databases with award history, and ranked federal bid lists such as FederalContracts for companies whose work comes from SAM.gov. Pick by where your buyers are, then by how much triage you want done for you.
