Find government contracts to bid on: profile, match, alert, track
Bidding government projects starts with one decision: which solicitation deserves the week your capture team has. FederalContracts makes that decision a ranked list instead of an inbox.

The whole method in one paragraph
You describe your company once. We read every new federal, state and local solicitation the day it posts, score each one against that description, and send you the few that fit with the reason attached. What you save moves onto a board that watches the question deadline and the response deadline for you, with the award history of the same work sitting beside it.
1. Build your company profile
The profile is the whole product. Everything downstream is arithmetic against it, so the ten minutes you spend here decide the quality of every list you ever receive.
- NAICS codes you hold and the ones you can credibly claim through past performance
- A capability line in your own words, which the scorer reads against the notice text
- Past performance: agencies, contract types and values you have delivered
- Set-aside status: 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, small business or none of them
- Geography: the states and regions you can staff, and whether you travel
- Contract size band, so you stop seeing work you cannot bond, staff or carry
On Capture and Enterprise you build one profile per business line, so a firm doing both IT services and facilities work gets two clean lists instead of one muddled one.
2. Every new solicitation is read the day it posts
Federal solicitations are published on the official federal system. State, county and municipal work is scattered across hundreds of separate boards, each with its own login and its own idea of what a notice looks like.
- Federal solicitations, amendments, question periods and award notices
- State, county and municipal bid boards on Capture and Enterprise
- Custom sources on Enterprise, including agency mailing lists and prime contractor portals
We normalize all of it into one record shape: title, agency, NAICS, set-aside, place of performance, value band, question deadline, response deadline and the full notice text.
3. The matching engine scores each notice against your profile
The score is deterministic and explainable. You can always see why a notice landed where it landed, which matters when you are defending a no-bid to your own management.
- NAICS overlap, exact codes first and then the wider family
- Capability keyword overlap against the notice text, weighted by which field the words appear in
- Set-aside eligibility, so ineligible work drops out instead of wasting a read
- Place of performance against the regions you actually staff
- Value band fit against the contract size your company can carry
- Response window feasibility, because a qualified match with four days left is not the same opportunity as one with thirty
Each match carries a score out of 100 and one plain sentence explaining the fit. The weak matches keep their score and their reason too, which is what turns a gut call into a decision you can write down.
4. Track the dates and the competition
A matched opportunity you forget about is the same as one you never saw.
- Response deadlines tracked on every saved bid, question deadlines tracked separately on Capture and Enterprise
- Reminders before each date, addressed to the person who owns the bid
- Amendments and extensions move the dates on your board the day they post
- Competitor award history beside the opportunity: prior awardees, values and dates
- Bid and no-bid decisions recorded against the opportunity, so next quarter you can see what you passed on
Who runs their week on this
- Capture and business development leads who own the pipeline and the no-bid calls
- Small and mid-sized contractors without a full time market research function
- Set-aside holders who need the eligible work surfaced first, covered on hubzone opportunities and set-asides
- Firms expanding from federal into state and local government bids
- Subcontractors tracking primes as well as agencies, covered on federal subcontracting opportunities
Try it before you decide anything
Run Bid Match on a starter profile or your own capability line. The full result renders without a signup, and it is the same scoring the paid product runs daily.
