GovTribe pricing: GovTribe cost per plan, limits, and cheaper alternatives compared

GovTribe publishes its prices. The Launch plan is 1,500 USD a year for one user and federal data, Launch Plus is 1,900 USD with state and local bids added, Growth is 5,000 USD a year for up to five users, and Growth Plus is 6,000 USD with state and local. A custom Scale tier sits above that. All published plans are billed annually.

Those are GovTribe's own figures from its plan guide. Several review sites still quote older numbers such as 1,350 or 4,000 USD, so if a figure you saw looks lower, it is probably out of date.

How much does GovTribe cost?

GovTribe costs between 1,500 and 6,000 USD a year on its published plans, and more on the custom Scale tier. The biggest jumps come from adding state and local coverage (about 400 USD a year on the single user plan) and from adding a second user, because team access starts at the five user Growth tier. AI usage beyond the trial is bought separately as credits.

GovTribe plan Annual price Users Coverage Export limit
Launch 1,500 USD 1 Federal 50 records per export
Launch Plus 1,900 USD 1 Federal, state and local 50 records per export
Growth 5,000 USD Up to 5 Federal 3,000 records per export
Growth Plus 6,000 USD Up to 5 Federal, state and local 3,000 records per export
Scale Custom Custom Federal, state and local 25,000 records per export

What do you give up on the Launch plan?

On Launch you give up everything that assumes a team. You get one user, a cap of ten active pursuits, 50 records per export and basic support, and there is no state and local data, no contact search and no integrations. Contact search, Zapier and predictive analytics start on Growth, which is where the price moves from 1,500 to 5,000 USD a year.

That cap on pursuits matters more than it looks. A firm bidding steadily will often have more than ten live pursuits across sources sought notices, draft RFPs and open solicitations. Once you pass that, you are either pruning the list or buying the Growth tier.

How much does GovTribe cost per month?

GovTribe does not sell a monthly plan on its published price list. Divided out, Launch works out to 125 USD a month, Launch Plus to about 158 USD, Growth to about 417 USD and Growth Plus to 500 USD a month, but you pay the year upfront. If you want to test a tool for a quarter before committing, look for one with real monthly billing.

What do GovTribe AI credits cost?

GovTribe AI, its MCP tools and automations run on credits. The free trial includes 2,000 credits. Paid accounts buy prepaid packs ranging from 3,500 to 25,000 credits, or pay as you go at 0.09 USD per credit. Heavy AI users should add that to the plan price when they budget, since it is not part of the annual figure.

What GovTribe costs a typical small contractor

The plan price depends less on company size than on two questions: how many people need access, and whether you bid state and local work. Here is how that plays out for three common setups, with the FederalContracts plan that covers the same job.

Your situation GovTribe plan and yearly cost FederalContracts plan and yearly cost
Owner bids federal work alone Launch, 1,500 USD Bid Desk, 1,290 USD, or 129 USD a month
Owner plus one BD hire, federal only Growth, 5,000 USD (second user needs Growth) Bid Desk, 1,290 USD (3 seats included)
Small team, federal plus state and local Growth Plus, 6,000 USD Capture, 3,490 USD, or 349 USD a month

The jump for a second person is the number that surprises most buyers. On GovTribe it moves the bill from 1,500 to 5,000 USD a year. Bid Desk includes three seats at its base price, and Capture includes fifteen.

Once the subscription is running, log it with the rest of your overhead. Bid research tools, SAM renewal help and proposal software add up fast, and expense software that categorizes every charge makes it easier to see what winning each contract actually cost you.

Is GovTribe worth the price?

GovTribe is worth the price for a contractor who does real market research: searching awards, sizing agencies, finding teaming partners and pulling contacts. Its search is fast, its prices are public and its AI tools are useful for power users. It is less of a fit if all you need is a short list of open bids that match your company each morning.

The honest test is to look at how your team uses it. If most sessions are a saved search that emails you dozens of notices, and someone skims them, you are paying for a research database to do a matching job. That job costs less when a tool reads the notices for you and ranks them.

Is there a cheaper alternative to GovTribe?

Yes. HigherGov Starter lists at 500 USD a year for one user, including federal and state and local data and API access, so it is the cheapest self-service database. FederalContracts Bid Desk costs 1,290 USD a year with three seats, or 129 USD month to month, and ranks every new notice against your profile. The full comparison is on our page of GovTribe alternatives.

Tool Entry price Billing
GovTribe 1,500 USD a year, 1 user, federal Annual
HigherGov 500 USD a year, 1 user Annual
FederalContracts 129 USD a month, or 1,290 USD a year, 3 seats Monthly or annual

What FederalContracts costs

Every plan and feature is on the pricing page, with no sales call and no annual lock-in on the monthly plans.

  • Bid Desk, 129 USD a month or 1,290 USD a year: federal solicitations, 1 company profile, 3 seats, daily ranked digest with a reason for each match, deadline reminders, 3 years of award history
  • Capture, 349 USD a month or 3,490 USD a year: adds state and local government bids, 5 business lines, 15 seats, question deadlines, full award history with exports, Slack and Teams alerts, read API
  • Enterprise, annual and invoiced: unlimited profiles and seats, SSO, audit log, custom sources, full API

Does GovTribe have a free trial?

Yes. GovTribe offers a free trial with no credit card required, and the trial includes 2,000 AI credits. At the end you pick a paid annual plan or let it lapse. If you want to see a ranked list for your own company first, Bid Match on our homepage scores a dated snapshot of federal notices against your profile.

Does GovTribe include state and local bids?

Only on the Plus plans and Scale. Launch and Growth are federal only. Launch Plus adds state and local coverage for 1,900 USD a year, and Growth Plus for 6,000 USD. On FederalContracts, state and local bids come with the Capture plan at 349 USD a month and are scored in the same list as federal notices.

Can you negotiate GovTribe pricing?

The self-service tiers are published list prices, so there is little to negotiate on Launch or Growth. The Scale tier is custom, which means seats, export limits, support and invoice billing are set with the GovTribe team. Larger buyers usually get the best terms by comparing a Scale quote with a competing self-service plan.

Is GovTribe cheaper than GovWin?

Yes, by a wide margin. GovTribe's published plans run from 1,500 to 6,000 USD a year, while GovWin IQ is sold on quoted annual contracts that third-party purchase data places in the five figures. GovWin goes deeper on forecasts and analyst notes, and for most small firms that depth costs more than it returns. See GovWin alternatives for the side by side.

Price the daily job first

If what you need is the handful of federal bids worth answering this week, start with a matching plan and add a research database later, when a specific pursuit justifies it.
