GovDash pricing per plan, seat and credit for small contractors

GovDash does not publish a price. Its pricing page lists three plans, Starter, Growth and Enterprise, all on annual terms, and asks you to talk to sales for seat prices and credit allotments. The one public data point is a two person contractor who reported a quote of about 3,000 USD a month in 2024, which works out near 36,000 USD a year.

That puts GovDash in the same budget class as Deltek GovWin IQ, not in the class of a bid search tool. It is priced as proposal and capture software, and the decision to buy it is really a decision about how many proposals you write a year.

How much does GovDash cost?

GovDash costs whatever its sales team quotes, on an annual contract. The plans are Starter (from one Full seat), Growth (eight or more Full seats) and Enterprise (custom). Full seats carry a fee and a monthly credit allotment, Flex seats carry no fee but draw on team credits. A small firm reported a quote of about 3,000 USD a month in 2024.

GovDash plan Minimum What it adds
Starter 1 Full seat Unlimited Flex seats, Microsoft 365 add-ins, browser extension, MCP connectors, choose your modules
Growth 8 or more Full seats Dedicated account manager, guided onboarding and quarterly reviews, single sign-on, custom roles
Enterprise Custom Central account across divisions and subsidiaries, leadership visibility, custom deployment and support

How GovDash Full seats, Flex seats and credits work

GovDash prices people and usage separately. A Full seat is a paid seat that comes with a monthly credit allotment and personal memory and skills, which is what your proposal manager and capture lead need. A Flex seat has no seat fee and draws from the team's shared credits, which suits a subject matter expert who reviews one section a month.

That model changes what drives your bill:

  • The number of Full seats. Starter starts at one, Growth requires eight. A team of five writers on Starter pays for five.
  • Credit use. Drafting, compliance matrices and reviews consume credits. A heavy proposal month spends more, and Flex seats spend from the same pool.
  • Modules. GovDash sells modules you choose, covering capture, proposal writing, contract management and pricing. Each one you add raises the quote.
  • Plan level. Single sign-on and custom roles only arrive on Growth, so a firm whose security team requires SSO is pushed to eight Full seats.

Older reviews describe GovDash as "unlimited users, no seat fees". That was an earlier model. The current page sells Full seats with credits, so treat a review that quotes the old terms as out of date.

What GovDash does for the money

GovDash is built around writing and winning proposals. It reads a solicitation, builds the compliance matrix and outline, drafts sections from your past proposals and resumes, and runs reviews against the evaluation criteria, with add-ins inside Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It also has capture tools for tracking pursuits, a contracts module and a pricing tool called Pricer for building cost volumes.

Opportunity search is part of the package, but it is not the reason firms pay GovDash prices. The value is hours saved per proposal. If your team writes two proposals a year, that saving is small. If it writes 30, it can pay for itself.

Is GovDash worth it for a small contractor?

GovDash is worth it for a small contractor that already submits many proposals and loses time writing them, not for one that is still looking for the right bids. Run the numbers on hours, not features.

A quick test before you take the demo:

  • Count the proposals your team submitted in the last 12 months.
  • Estimate the writing and review hours each one took.
  • Price those hours at your loaded labor rate, then compare that total with the annual quote.

If 12 proposals at 120 hours each cost you 140,000 USD a year in labor, a tool that cuts a third of those hours pays for a 36,000 USD contract. If you submitted three, it does not, and the cheaper problem to solve is finding more bids worth writing.

Proposals with key personnel requirements also need named candidates before you submit, and that often decides more than prose quality. Pairing the writing tool with an AI recruiter that sources and screens candidates can matter as much when the solicitation asks for resumes.

GovDash pricing compared with other government contracting tools

Prices are published where the vendor publishes them and reported figures where it does not. Check each with the vendor before you sign.

Tool Price Main job
GovDash Quoted, one small firm reported about 3,000 USD a month in 2024 Proposal writing, capture, contracts and pricing
Deltek GovWin IQ Quoted, reported from about 13,000 USD a year Market research and opportunity intelligence
GovTribe 1,500 USD a year for one user, 5,000 USD for Growth Opportunity search and pipeline
HigherGov 500 USD a year for one user, 2,500 USD for up to 10 Opportunity search, federal, state and local
FederalContracts Bid Desk 129 USD a month or 768 USD a year Daily ranked list of federal bids with a score and reason
SAM.gov No charge Official federal notices

Where GovDash wins: nobody else in this table writes the proposal for you, and its Office add-ins fit how proposal teams already work. Where it loses: price, an annual commitment and no published numbers. Many firms pair a cheaper bid finding tool with their existing writing process and only buy proposal software once volume justifies it. The detail on the others is in GovWin IQ pricing, GovTribe pricing and HigherGov pricing.

When a ranked bid list is the better first purchase

A ranked bid list is the better first purchase when the bottleneck is finding the right solicitations, not writing them. FederalContracts reads every new federal notice, scores it out of 100 against your company profile and sends the best fits first each morning, with due dates and question deadlines tracked.

  • Bid Desk, 129 USD a month or 768 USD a year. Federal solicitations, 1 company profile, 3 seats, the daily ranked digest, deadline reminders and 3 years of competitor award history.
  • Capture, 349 USD a month or 2,088 USD a year. Adds state and local bids, 5 business lines, 15 seats and Slack or Microsoft Teams alerts.

That is less per year than one month of the GovDash quote above, and monthly billing means no annual commitment. See the government contract finder for how the ranking works.

Does GovDash have a free trial?

GovDash does not advertise a free trial. Its site offers a demo, and plans are sold on annual terms after a conversation with sales. Ask during the demo whether a pilot or a shorter first term is possible, and get any trial terms in writing before you share past proposals with the system.

Is GovDash billed monthly or annually?

GovDash is billed on annual terms. Starter is an annual plan where you add seats as needed, Growth requires an annual commitment with at least eight Full seats, and Enterprise terms are negotiated. Budget for the full year up front unless your quote states otherwise.

What is the difference between a Full seat and a Flex seat in GovDash?

A Full seat in GovDash is a paid seat with its own monthly credit allotment, memory and skills, meant for people who work in the platform daily. A Flex seat has no seat fee and uses credits from the team pool, which suits reviewers and subject matter experts who contribute occasionally.

Who are GovDash's main competitors?

GovDash's main competitors in proposal software are Procurement Sciences, Vultron and Unanet ProposalAI, while Deltek GovWin IQ, GovTribe and HigherGov overlap on opportunity search and capture. For a small firm that mainly needs the right bids each morning, a ranked bid list like FederalContracts costs far less.

Is GovDash good for small businesses?

GovDash can work for a small business that writes many proposals and has the budget for an annual contract. For a two to ten person firm still building its pipeline, the reported price of about 3,000 USD a month is high, and a bid finding tool plus your own templates is usually the cheaper first step.
