GovCB pricing and GovCB cost for government bid alerts
GovCB sells one subscription with two billing choices. It costs 69.95 USD a month on a recurring monthly charge, or 595.95 USD a year on a 12 month plan, which GovCB says saves 243.45 USD against twelve monthly payments. A 7 day free trial comes first, and your card is billed monthly if you do not cancel before it ends. There is no price per state and no price per category, so the plan is the same for a one-state painter and a national supplier.
That makes GovCB a mid priced bid alert service, above the 20 to 60 USD a month tools and below the research databases that start in the thousands. The question is not the price on the page. It is how much of the feed you will still have to sort yourself.
How much does GovCB cost?
GovCB costs 69.95 USD a month, or 595.95 USD for a 12 month plan, which is about 49.66 USD a month. Both prices cover federal, state and local bids, and you can pick several categories and states without an extra fee. A 7 day free trial needs a credit card, and billing starts monthly after the trial if you do not cancel.
| GovCB option | What it includes | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month | Bids, pre-RFPs, RFPs, awards and contracting opportunities from federal, state and local governments, email and web delivery | 69.95 USD, recurring monthly |
| 12 months | Same access, billed once a year | 595.95 USD, recurring annual, a stated saving of 243.45 USD |
| Categories and states | Choose several of each | No additional fee |
| Free trial | The service for 7 days, card required | No charge if cancelled before the trial ends |
These prices come from GovCB's own subscribe page, checked on October 29, 2026. Twelve payments of 69.95 USD come to 839.40 USD, so the annual plan costs 71% of the monthly total.
What a GovCB subscription includes
GovCB has operated since 2000 and describes its service as bids, pre-RFP notices, RFPs, awards and contracting opportunities from federal, state and local governments in all industries, delivered by email and on the web. It says it matches opportunities to a business profile, and the home page lets you search bids by state.
- Federal, state and local in one subscription. Cities, counties, schools, hospitals, airports and state agencies appear alongside federal notices. That is the reason to pick it over a federal only tool.
- Category and state choices at no extra charge. You are not buying a state at a time, which is how some bid services reach four figures.
- Email and web delivery. New bids arrive by email, and the same list is on the site.
- Awards. Award information is part of the service, useful when you price a recompete.
What its pages do not describe is a per bid fit score, a deadline reminder tied to your calendar or a view of which agency held the last contract for the same work. You get the matched list, then you read it.
How GovCB billing and cancellation work
The trial starts when you subscribe and give a card. GovCB states that you will not be charged if you cancel before the 7 days end. If you do nothing, automatic recurring charges begin month to month on your card, and the statement shows the merchant as "LUFEX GOVT CONTRACT INFO", not GovCB, which is worth knowing so you do not dispute your own charge.
The page says you can cancel at any time. It does not publish a refund policy for a partly used month or year, so treat any charge as final and put the day 6 date in your calendar before you give the card.
What GovCB costs for a small contractor in a year
Because the price is flat, the number that changes is how long you stay and which billing you pick.
| Your situation | GovCB cost | Per year |
|---|---|---|
| Trying it for a week | Trial, cancelled before day 7 | 0 USD |
| Three months of monthly billing, then cancel | 3 x 69.95 USD | 209.85 USD |
| Monthly billing all year | 12 x 69.95 USD | 839.40 USD |
| Annual plan | 1 x 595.95 USD | 595.95 USD |
| Annual plan for two offices that each need a login | 2 x 595.95 USD if each needs its own subscription | 1,191.90 USD |
The last row is a caution, not a quote. GovCB does not publish seat rules on its subscribe page, so ask before you assume a second user is free.
GovCB compared with other bid services
| Service | Coverage | Published price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| GovCB | Federal, state and local | 69.95 USD a month, 595.95 USD a year | |
| Bid Banana | State, local and federal | 49.99 USD a month or 479.99 USD a year per person | |
| RFPMart | Federal and state by category | 300 USD a year for a category, states 200 to 350 USD a year | |
| BidNet Direct | State and local by state | From about 599 USD a year for one state | |
| FederalContracts | Federal plus New York City | 129 USD a month or 768 USD a year for 3 seats on Bid Desk |
GovCB wins on breadth. If you bid on school districts in four states and federal work together, a federal only tool leaves most of your market out. Pricing for the others is on Bid Banana pricing, RFPMart pricing and BidNet Direct pricing.
What FederalContracts costs instead
FederalContracts covers federal solicitations from SAM.gov and, on the higher plan, New York City bids. It does not cover other states and cities.
- Bid Desk, 129 USD a month or 768 USD a year. Federal solicitations, 1 company profile, 3 seats, 5 saved searches, a daily ranked digest scored out of 100 with the reason, deadline reminders and 3 years of competitor award history.
- Capture, 349 USD a month or 2,088 USD a year. Federal plus New York City, 5 business lines, 15 seats and full award history with exports.
At 768 USD a year for three seats, Bid Desk costs 172 USD more than one GovCB annual plan, and the difference buys the ranking, the reminders and the award history for the federal notices. If your work is mostly local government outside New York, GovCB covers it and we do not. Every feature is on our plans and pricing page.
Is GovCB free?
GovCB is not free. It offers a 7 day free trial that needs a credit card, and after the trial it charges 69.95 USD a month unless you pick the 595.95 USD annual plan. Cancel before day 7 to pay nothing.
Does GovCB have a free trial?
Yes. GovCB gives a 7 day trial to evaluate the service. It says you are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends, and that automatic monthly charges start on your card if you do not.
What does GovCB cover?
GovCB covers bids, pre-RFPs, RFPs, awards and contracting opportunities from federal, state and local governments in all industries. You can pick multiple categories and states without an additional fee. It does not publish a count of bids on the subscribe page.
Is GovCB legit?
GovCB says it has provided government bid services since 2000, and its site has an about page, help pages and a subscribe page with published prices. Charges appear as "LUFEX GOVT CONTRACT INFO". As with any service, use the free week and check that your category returns bids you could actually win before you pay.
What are the alternatives to GovCB?
The closest priced alternatives are Bid Banana at 479.99 USD a year per person, RFPMart by category and state, and BidNet Direct by state. For federal work ranked by fit with deadline reminders, FederalContracts Bid Desk costs 768 USD a year for three seats. Government bidding sites compared lists them side by side.
See your ranked federal list before you start a trial
Type your services, state and NAICS codes, and Bid Match ranks a dated snapshot of public federal solicitations against them. It takes a minute and needs no card, so you can compare the list with what a keyword feed would send. When a bid does turn into an award, tracking the certificates of insurance your subs and suppliers must carry is the next job.
