Bid Banana pricing and Bid Banana cost per seat for bid search
Bid Banana sells one plan, called Standard, priced per person. It costs 49.99 USD a month on monthly billing or 479.99 USD a year on annual billing, which works out to 40 USD a month. A 7 day free trial starts when you add a card, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. There are no state add-ons, no setup fees and no sales call.
That makes Bid Banana one of the cheapest all 50 state bid search tools in the US. It covers state, local and federal buyers in one index, and the price is the same for everyone. The thing to watch is the word "per person": a team of three pays three times.
How much does Bid Banana cost?
Bid Banana costs 49.99 USD per person per month, or 479.99 USD per person per year on annual billing, about 40 USD a month and 20% less than paying monthly. Both prices are for the single Standard plan covering all 50 states. A 7 day free trial needs a payment method, and you are not charged if you cancel before it ends.
| Bid Banana option | What it includes | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard, monthly | All 50 states, state, local and federal bids, saved searches with daily or weekly alerts, Match, similar bids, award research, AI document analysis | 49.99 USD per person a month |
| Standard, annual | Same plan, billed once a year | 479.99 USD per person a year, about 40 USD a month |
| Extra seats | One seat per user, added or removed by the account owner | Same price per seat, prorated when added |

What the Bid Banana Standard plan includes
Bid Banana is the bid search product of Bid Lab, LLC. It indexes open, closed and awarded bids and describes the database as more than 1.6 million bids and awards from over 4,000 agencies and buyers, updated daily.
- All 50 states in one search. State, local and federal opportunities are the base product. There is no county or state version that costs less, and no territory to add.
- Saved searches and alerts. Unlimited saved searches, with new matches by email daily or weekly.
- Match. A feature that ranks bids by fit to your company, so not every alert is a raw keyword hit.
- Award and closed bid research. Who won a past bid and for how much, useful before you price a recompete.
- AI document analysis. Summaries of bid documents with budgets, requirements and key dates pulled out.
- One user per seat. Each person needs their own seat, chosen at checkout, and support is standard.
For a firm that sells to cities, counties and school districts in several states, that is a lot of coverage for under 500 USD a year. When a 120 page solicitation package does come in, you can also ask questions of the PDF itself to find the evaluation criteria and the submission rules without reading it front to back.
How Bid Banana billing and cancellation work
The trial starts when you create an account and add a card. Bid Banana says the card is not charged during the 7 days, and if you cancel before day 7 you are never charged. If you do nothing, the plan renews at the regular price, monthly or yearly, depending on what you picked.
You cancel from your own settings at any time. The membership stays active until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew after that. Bid Banana states that if you cancel partway through a period, the rest of that period's fee is not refunded. So an annual plan cancelled in month two still costs the full 479.99 USD. Put the day 6 date in your calendar before you add the card.
What Bid Banana costs for a small contractor or a team
Because pricing is per person, the number that matters is how many people on your team search and bid.
| Your situation | Bid Banana cost | Per year |
|---|---|---|
| Owner trying it for a week | Trial, cancelled before day 7 | 0 USD |
| One estimator, monthly billing all year | 12 x 49.99 USD | 599.88 USD |
| One estimator, annual billing | 1 x 479.99 USD | 479.99 USD |
| Owner, estimator and bid coordinator, annual | 3 x 479.99 USD | 1,439.97 USD |
| Five person sales and bid team, annual | 5 x 479.99 USD | 2,399.95 USD |
For one person, Bid Banana is cheaper than almost every alternative. For three people, it costs more than a plan that includes three seats, which is worth checking before you buy for a team.
Bid Banana compared with other bid services
| Service | What it does best | Published or reported price | Where it falls short |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bid Banana | All 50 state public bid search with fit ranking, award research and AI summaries | 49.99 USD a month or 479.99 USD a year per person | |
| InstantMarkets | Broad US and Canada public bid search with award history | 75 USD a month, or 720 USD a year, see InstantMarkets pricing | |
| FindRFP | Cheap keyword alerts across US and Canadian public buyers | 19.95 to 29.95 USD a month, see FindRFP pricing | |
| BidNet Direct | State and local bids by region with document access | From about 599 USD a year for one state, see BidNet Direct pricing | |
| GovTribe | Federal research database with awards, forecasts and contacts | From 1,500 USD a year, see GovTribe pricing | |
| FederalContracts | Federal notices scored out of 100 against your company, with the reason and the deadline | 129 USD a month or 768 USD a year on Bid Desk, 3 seats |
Where Bid Banana wins: breadth and a low single seat price. If your buyers are cities, counties, utilities and school districts across several states, one Bid Banana seat at 479.99 USD a year covers more ground than any federal tool, and it has a fit ranking of its own. Our state and local government bids page shows where those notices post if you want to compare coverage for your own buyers during the trial.
Where it is weaker is federal depth for a team. A federal notice is often titled by a project number or a product code, the set-aside decides whether you can bid at all, and the incumbent decides whether you should. Those checks are what a federal contractor pays for.
What FederalContracts costs instead
FederalContracts does one job for companies whose revenue comes from SAM.gov: it reads every new federal solicitation in full the morning after it posts, scores it out of 100 against your trades, NAICS codes, set-asides and states, and sends the best fits first with the reason for each score.
- Bid Desk, 129 USD a month or 768 USD a year. Federal solicitations, 1 company profile, 3 seats, 5 saved searches, a daily ranked digest, deadline reminders and 3 years of competitor award history.
- Capture, 349 USD a month or 2,088 USD a year. Federal solicitations plus New York City bids from the City Record, 5 business lines, 15 seats and full award history with exports.
For one person, Bid Desk on annual billing costs 288.01 USD a year more than one Bid Banana seat and covers less ground. For a team of three, Bid Desk at 768 USD a year costs 671.97 USD less than three annual Bid Banana seats. If most of your buyers are state and local, Bid Banana is the better fit. If federal work is the business, government contract alerts explains how the ranked digest is built and government bidding sites compared puts the official portals and paid services side by side. Every plan feature is on our plans and pricing page.
Is Bid Banana free?
Bid Banana is not free. The Standard plan costs 49.99 USD a month or 479.99 USD a year per person. New accounts get a 7 day free trial of the full product, but starting it requires a card, and the plan renews at the regular price unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Does Bid Banana have a free trial?
Yes. Bid Banana offers a 7 day free trial with every feature and all 50 states. You add a payment method to activate it and are not charged during the 7 days. If you cancel before day 7 you are never charged, and if you do nothing it renews at the regular monthly or annual price.
Is Bid Banana legit?
Bid Banana is a real, paid bid search service run by Bid Lab, LLC, with a published price, a working trial and a pricing page that answers billing questions in plain terms. Most notices it lists are also free at the issuing agency, so during the trial check three of its listings against SAM.gov or the buyer's own portal.
Does Bid Banana charge per user?
Yes. Bid Banana is priced per person, at 49.99 USD a month or 479.99 USD a year for each seat. The account owner chooses seats at checkout and can add or remove them in Settings. Added seats are prorated, and removed seats stop at the end of the current period.
Can I cancel Bid Banana anytime?
Yes, you can cancel Bid Banana at any time from your own settings. Your membership stays active until the next due date and does not renew after that. Bid Banana states that the unused part of a period you already paid is not refunded, so an annual plan cancelled early still costs the full year.
What are the alternatives to Bid Banana?
The main alternatives to Bid Banana are InstantMarkets, FindRFP and RFPMart for low cost broad bid feeds, BidNet Direct and BidPrime for state and local alerts, GovTribe and HigherGov for federal research databases, and ranked federal bid lists such as FederalContracts for teams whose work comes from SAM.gov.
