List of government contracts for bid, filtered down to the ones you can win
Anybody can hand you a list of government contracts for bid. The public record is open and the notices are free to read. The question worth paying for is which items on that list your company should actually chase.

What a raw list of open bids gets you
A raw list is complete and useless in the same breath. On any given morning it holds construction work in states you do not operate in, IT contracts an order of magnitude above your bonding capacity, set-asides you are not eligible for and notices closing in four days that nobody could respond to properly.
Reading it is a job. Doing that job by hand, every morning, is how capture leads lose their evenings and how good bids get missed anyway.
- Work you cannot staff or carry, mixed in with work you can
- Set-asides you do not hold, sitting next to ones you do
- Notices with a response window too short to bid well
- No indication of who has won this work before or at what price
The same list, scored against your company
FederalContracts takes the same public record and scores every item against your profile, so what reaches you is ordered by how well it fits you rather than by when it posted.
- NAICS overlap, exact codes first, then the wider family
- Your capability line read against the full notice text
- Set-aside eligibility, so ineligible work drops out before you read it
- Place of performance against the regions you staff
- Value band against the contract size you can carry
- Response window feasibility, because a short window is a different opportunity
Every item carries a score and a sentence. The result is usually three to ten items, which is a list a human being can act on before lunch.
Deciding which government jobs to bid on
A bid or no-bid call comes down to three things: can we do the work, can we win it, and is it worth the cost of responding. The product puts all three in one view.
- Fit: the match score and the reason, against your own profile
- Competition: prior awards for the same work, the incumbent named, values and dates
- Cost of responding: days remaining, question deadline, and the size of the requirement
Contracts up for bid that you decide to pursue move onto a board with their deadlines tracked. The ones you pass on keep their reason, which is what turns a hunch into a reviewable decision.
